TEMPE, Ariz. – The Jones College women's tennis program continues to be recognized nationally for its achievements.
The entire team has been awarded the ITA Region III Community Service Award.
Helen Hernandez has been named the ITA Region III Sophomore Player of the Year and
Juan Pinilla has been selected as the ITA Region III Assistant Coach of the Year.
Hernandez was 16-0 at singles and teamed with
Molly Bennett to go 17-0 at doubles to help the Bobcats win a fifth straight MACCC and Region 23 Championship and make another national tournament appearance.
Hernandez, a sophomore from Venezuela, was previously named the 2025 MACCC Player of the Year and was a first team All-MACCC selection. Off the court in 2024, she was selected as an ITA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-MACCC.

Guadalupe Tocci was named ITA Sophomore of the Year in 2024.
