JACKSON – For the second time this season, Jones College's
Brayson Graham has been named MACCC Pitcher of the Week.
He was later named the NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week on Thursday.
Graham, a freshman pitcher/infielder from Wayne County, threw six scoreless innings at No. 1 Pearl River to help the Bobcats to a 2-1 victory over the Wildcats which sent Jones into the championship game of the Poplarville Regional. He gave up only two hits and struck out seven in a no-decision. He also hit a two-run home run in the 13-0 win over the Wildcats in the title game.
Graham also earned POTW honors on April 14 after throwing a five-inning no-hitter in a 14-0 win at Copiah-Lincoln.
For the year, Graham is 5-2 with 71 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched.
