ELLISVILLE – Two years into competition, Jones College volleyball celebrated its first four-year signing class last week.
Four players, three sophomores and a freshman, pledged to four different four-year programs.
"These are my first signings as a head coach and I'm extremely excited for them," head coach
John Dussouy said. "I had helped 28 out of 32 players at Coastal Alabama-South as the assistant coach and head recruiter, but this is something special to me. Throughout their time at Jones, they were hard workers on and off the court and I believe they will be able to step in and contribute at the next level."
Pin Hitter
Harmony Jackson signed with McNeese State, setter
Mamie Fromdahl to Mississippi College, pin
Chelsea Daffin to Auburn-Montgomery and middle blocker
Madolyn Mills to Baptist University of Florida.
Jackson was the program's first-ever NJCAA All-American in 2024, being named to the third team. She bested that as a sophomore by being named an NJCAA First Team All-American and the MACCC Player of the Year. Jackson was also First Team All-MACCC both years and NJCAA All-Region 23 both years.
She ends her Bobcat career first in MACCC history in kills (872) and points scored (964) and third in hitting percentage (.281).
Fromdahl was the MACCC Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman and First Team All-MACCC both seasons, leading the league with 1,041 assists in 2024.
Fromdahl's 2,035 assists are second in MACCC history and her 109 service aces are third-most. She added 459 digs, 104 blocks and a .406 kill percentage.
Daffin spent one season at Jones after transferring in from the University of New Orleans and was a teammate of Fromdahl at McGill-Toolen Catholic. Daffin started in 32 of 35 matches and hit .270, registered 264 kills, 209 digs and 36 blocks.
Mills is leaving after her freshman season, heading back to her home state of Florida. Mills, out of Baker High School, helped the Wildcats to the program's first-ever FHSAA Class 1A State Championship in 2023. In her lone year at Jones, Mills played in 24 matches and registered 61 kills, 42 blocks and 13 aces.
"We are excited when an athlete does so well that within one year a four-year school is interested," Dussouy continued. "There are two-year schools that will keep their freshmen from leaving, but we believe that this is part of the job."
Jones finished 30-5 last season as MACCC Champions, Region 23 Champions and ranked 21st in the final NJCAA poll. The Bobcats were 28-8 and region champions in their inaugural season.
