JACKSON – Jones College has swept the MACCC weekly volleyball awards.
Harmony Jackson has been named the Offensive Player of the Week and
Olivia Guth has been named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Jackson, a sophomore pin hitter from Lafayette High School, had 54 total kills, 10 digs and was credited with 60 points as the Bobcats went 4-0, including a 3-0 run through the Region 23 Tournament.
It's the second time this season and fourth time in her career for Jackson to receive the honor.
Guth, a freshman defensive specialist from Poplarville, had 59 digs, five service aces and nine assists in helping Jones win its second straight region championship.
It's Guth's second straight weekly defensive honor.
Jones plays at ACCC Champion, Calhoun, on Saturday, Nov. 8 for a trip to the NJCAA Tournament.
