ELLISVILLE – Prior to first pitch of Saturday's doubleheader against Northeast, members of Jones College's 2016 national championship team were welcomed back at Community Bank Park.
Twenty-two players returned for the 10th anniversary weekend that included a round of golf Friday afternoon, a banquet Friday night and Ka'Rock's-sponsored meal on Saturday for gameday.
Each player in attendance was announced at their original position during the 2016 season, a team that won a school-record 54 games.
Jones was the first-ever JUCO team from Mississippi to win a baseball national title.
The Bobcats went on to sweep Northeast, 12-5 and 7-1, to improve to 33-12 on the year.
