Seven Bobcat teams receive NJCAA All-Academic honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ­– Seven Jones College teams have received recognition for academic achievement for the 2024-25 academic year.
 
The teams were named NJCAA All-Academic Honorable Mention for having a GPA of 3.20 or higher.
 
Those teams were: women's tennis, 3.79 GPA (fourth in the nation); women's soccer, 3.66 GPA (eighth in the nation); softball, 3.64 GPA; men's tennis, 3.45 GPA; men's soccer, 3.36 GPA; golf, 3.32GPA; and volleyball, 3.23 GPA.
 
Women's tennis went 17-0 on the court, won its fifth consecutive MACCC and Region 23 tiles and finished No. 7 in the NJCAA Division I Tournament.
 
Women's soccer went 11-4-1 and advanced to the region quarterfinals.
 
Softball was 52-10, won its second straight region title and finished runner-up in the NJCAA Division II World Series.
 
Men's tennis was 19-5, won its fourth straight conference championship, second consecutive region title and finished 12th in the national tournament.
 
Men's soccer was 11-3-3 and won its fifth MACCC crown in seven years.
 
The Bobcat men's golf team finished third in the NJCAA Gulf District Tournament and became the first Jones team to qualify for the NJCAA Division II Tournament.
 
In its inaugural year, volleyball went 28-8 and won the region championship.
