JACKSON – Jones College's Olivia Guth has been named the MACCC's Defensive Player of the Week.

She's the second Bobcat in as many weeks to earn defensive honors.
 
Guth, a freshman defensive specialist from Poplarville, had 36 digs, two service aces and 10 assists as the conference champion Bobcats beat Pearl River, 3-0, and No. 24 Enterprise State, 3-2.
 
Jones hosts Southwest in a Region 23 quarterfinal match at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
