JACKSON – Jones College's Izzi Barnes and Claire Wicker swept the MACCC weekly volleyball awards.
 
Barnes was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week and Wicker was selected as Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Barnes, a 6-foot-3 freshman middle blocker from Gulfport, registered 49 kills, hit a team-best .333 and added 11 blocks as No. 25 Jones went 3-3 last week, including an upset of No. 17 Illinois Central. Their three losses came vs. No. 1 Heartland (Illinois), No. 6 Gulf Coast State and No. 7 Pensacola State. 
 
Wicker, a 5-foot-8 freshman setter from Oxford, had a team-best 52 digs and five service aces.

Jones, ranked No. 25 in the latest NJCAA poll, travels to No. 24 Enterprise State on Wednesday in a rematch of last year's district championship.
