ELLISVILLE – Jones College split a pair of games here Tuesday at Community Bank Park.
Bobcat pitching held Copiah-Lincoln to only three hits as Jones beat the Wolves, 6-1. Later, Jones committed five errors and dropped a 16-7 decision to No. 10 East Central.
Jones (12-2) hosts Baton Rouge Community College in a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday.

Beau Bryans (Madison Central),
Eli Walker (Gulfport) and
Connor Brooks (Northwest Rankin) combined for 13 strikeouts.
Bryans, an Alabama signee, went the first 6.0 innings, allowed one run, one hit, walked four and struck out eight. He is now 4-0 on the season. Walker, a Mississippi State signee, pitched 2.0 innings, giving up one hit, no walks and had four strikeouts. Brooks, a Jacksonville State signee, tossed the final inning, allowed one hit and got a strikeout.
Colton Hegwood (Brandon) tripled and drove in two runs.
Evan Rogers (Northwest Rankin) and
Marquette Gibson (D'Iberville) each doubled and singled with
Gatlin Sanders (Madison Central) and
Braden Smith (Brandon) getting two singles each.
Brady Thomas (Brandon) double and
Jacob McCall (Brandon) singled.
Jones led 2-0 after four innings, 2-1 after five, 4-1 after six and added single runs in the seventh and eighth innings.

The Warriors scored six runs in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead.
Jones cut the lead to 8-6 after five and 9-7 after six before the Warriors put up seven runs in the ninth inning.
Thomas slugged two home runs and drove in three runs. Sanders doubled and singled with Bryans getting a triple and
Cole Manuel (Clinton) adding a single. Manuel also had two RBIs.
Andrew Marble (East Central) was the starter and loser. He pitched 4.0 innings, allowed six runs (two earned), four hits, walked six and struck out three.
Brandon Rhodes (St. Stanislaus) pitched .1 innings.
Micah Daniell (Oak Grove) tossed 3.2 innings, allowing an unearned run, one hit, four walks and six strikeouts.
Collin Pipkins (Greene County),
Garrett Pound (Pontotoc) and
Charlee Strickland (Northeast Jones) also pitched for Jones.
East Central improves to 13-0 with the victory.
