ELLISVILLE – Jones College continues postseason play next week in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
 
Jones (31-15) will face East Mississippi (27-17) at 7 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Dub Herring Park on the campus of Pearl River Community College in Poplarville. 
 
Other first round Monday matchups feature No. 4 LSU Eunice (38-15) vs. No. 19 Hinds (28-16) at noon and top-ranked Pearl River (36-10) vs. Northwest (26-22) at 3:30 p.m. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on Friday, May 20.
 
The tournament winner advances to the NJCAA Division II World Series May 28-June 4 in Enid, Oklahoma.
 
Jones advanced to the tournament by sweeping Northeast (12-6, 11-1) last week in Booneville. East Mississippi defeated East Central, two games to one. Hinds swept Mississippi Gulf Coast and Northwest rallied from a 1-0 deficit to surprise Meridian, two games to one.
