Box Score BREWTON, Alabama –
Ben Stiglets gave up just one hit over five innings to pace Jones County Junior College to a 10-2 win over Jefferson Davis Community College (Alabama) in game two of a doubleheader here Thursday afternoon. JCJC won game one, 10-8.
Stiglets was solid once again as he improved to 3-0. He allowed a solo home run in the second inning and finished his stint with six strikeouts and no walks.
Tyler Spring went the final two innings, allowed an unearned run, two hits, walked one and struck out three.
Dalton Skelton and
Shelton Wallace each doubled, singled and drove in a pair of runs.
Clint Sasser,
Mason Irby,
Erick Hoard and
Fred Franklin added singles.
JCJC will host Kaskaskia College (Illinois) in a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Sunday.
Also, the Bobcats will now host East Mississippi in a 2 p.m. doubleheader on March 19. The game was originally scheduled for Scooba, but had to be moved because of damage to the EMCC field caused by a recent tornado.
Jeff Davis, 3-6, meets Central Alabama and Lawson State (Alabama) in a Friday doubleheader.
