JCJC's Hazen named MACJC Pitcher of the Week

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College's Will Hazen has been named the MACJC Pitcher of the Week.
Hazen, a sophomore left-hander from St. Stanislaus, was outstanding in the Bobcats' 1-0 win over Mississippi Delta on April 16 at Ferriss Field on the campus of Delta State University.
He went the distance (seven innings), allowed no runs, two hits, walked three and struck out nine as the Bobcats won game two of the doubleheader. For the season, Hazen is 5-1 with a 3.55 earned run average.
The Bobcats, 27-11 overall and 14-8 in the MACJC, play at league-leading Hinds in a crucial league matchup at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. JCJC hosts Coahoma in a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday in the final home regular season doubleheader at Community Bank Park.
