ELLISVILLE – Mississippi Gulf Coast limited 8th-ranked Jones County to three hits and posted a 5-2 victory in game two of a doubleheader here Tuesday afternoon at Community Bank Park.
The Bobcats, 21-9 overall and 8-6 in the MACJC, will host Itawamba in a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Friday. The games will air on

Miss. Gulf Coast, 11-13 overall and 6-6 in the league, entertains Mississippi Delta on Friday.
Destin Aime allowed just one hit in 6 1/3 innings of relief to lead the Bulldogs.
JCJC scored two runs in the bottom of the first when
Chris Morgan led off with a single and
Clint Sasser was hit by a pitch. With one out,
Mason Irby was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Tyler Schankin then delivered a two-out, two-run single. Aime then replaced starter Irby Dossett on the hill.
MGCCC got a run in the fourth when James Land led off with a single and Richie Clark followed with a single. With two outs, Matt Trigg singled to right to score Land, but
John Alan Wall gunned down Clark at home plate for the final out of the inning.
The Bulldogs took the lead in the fifth.
Michael Shubert led off with a double and Rikki Pribanic reached on an error. Justin Nussbaum's single tied the game and Patrick McMahon then sacrificed Pribanic to third. Land's groundout scored the go-ahead run to make it 3-2.
MGCCC added two runs in the seventh.
Pribanic led off with a walk and McMahon doubled to right-center to score the run. Land was intentionally walked and Clark singled. An error allowed McMahon to score.
Will Hazen, 3-1, started and took the loss. He went five innings, allowed three runs (two earned), seven hits, walked none and struck out three.
Tyler Schwaner pitched an inning, allowed one run, no hits, walked two and struck out two.
Perry Turner pitched an inning, allowed one run, two hits and walked one.
Morgan, Schankin and Sasser had singles for the Bobcats.
Aime struck out one, retired 13 in a row at one point and picked up the win. Dossett went 2/3 of an inning, gave up two runs, two hits and hit two.
McMahon doubled and singled for MGCCC, while Clark singled twice. Shubert had a double with Nussbaum, Land, Trigg and Pribanic adding singles.
