Christian Dale. Dale, a sophomore right-hander from Columbus, went 1-0 during the week. He pitched 10 1/3 innings, allowed 2 runs, 6 hits, walked 1, hit 1 and struck out 8. He picked up a win in relief in a 10-8 victory over Southwest. He pitched 3 innings vs. the Bear, allowed no runs, no hits, no walks, hit 1 and struck out three. He had a no decision in a 3-2 loss to No. 17 Northwest Mississippi. He started, went 7 1/3 innings, allowed 2 runs, 6 hits, walked one and struck out 5. Dale is 1-1 with a 2.14 earned run average on the season.
