This week's Bobcat Athlete of the Week is Tanner Huddleston.
Huddleston, a freshman from George County, had a big week as the No. 2 Bobcats went 3-1 and won its opening round MACJC playoff series.
Huddleston was 7-of-15 at the plate with two home runs, one triple, two doubles, six runs scored and eight RBIs.
In an 8-1 win over Mississippi Delta in Game 1 of the playoffs, Huddleston was 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBIs. In a 15-2 win in Game 2 vs. MDCC, Huddleston was 3-for-3 with a home run, double, five RBIs and four runs scored.
He also made several top-notch defensive plays at the “hot corner.”
Huddleston was also named the MACJC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
