Mikayla Banks, a freshman from Vicksburg, is this week's Lady Bobcat Athlete of the Week.
She scored four minutes into the game and jumpstarted Jones County to a 3-2 victory over previously unbeaten and 16th-ranked Holmes in the championship game of the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament.
It was JCJC's fourth MACJC/Region 23 Tournament title and earned the Lady Bobcats a host role in the NJCAA District H playoffs vs. No. 6 Eastern Florida State College.
