ROBINSONVILLE – Jones College men's golf opened its fall season with a third-place finish at the Northwest Ranger Invitational at Tunica National Golf Course.
The Bobcats finished the three-round event at 18-over par after posting rounds of 11-over, 3-over and 4-over. Northwest Mississippi claimed the team title at 8-over, while East Central finished second at 13-over.
LEADING THE WAY
Jax Poole and Julius Hautmann led Jones, each finishing tied for sixth at even par.
Poole carded rounds of 73, 71 and 72, while Hautmann posted rounds of 73, 73 and 70.
Pelle Fox finished tied for 16th at 12-over with rounds of 79, 73 and 76. Mack Hutson tied for 21st at 13-over after rounds of 74, 74 and 81.
Brody Chandler rounded out the Jones lineup in a tie for 34th at 20-over, posting rounds of 82, 80 and 74.
Matthew Eubank competed as an individual and tied for 21st at 13-over. Eubank recorded rounds of 74, 81 and 74.
