JACKSON – For the second time this season and sixth time in her career, Jones College's Sherline King has been named the MACCC Offensive Player of the Week.
 
King, a freshman forward from Panama, scored a career-high five goals in an 8-1 win at East Mississippi and added a brace in a 4-1 Bobcat win over Pearl River in the Region 23 quarterfinals.
 
King's 48 career goals are one shy of tying the program record.

Jones plays region tournament host, Holmes, on Wednesday at Freedom Ridge Park in the semifinals.
