SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Jones College Bobcats are seeded No. 6 in the NJCAA Division II Softball World Series, which will be held at Tyger River Park May 23-27.
 
Head coach Chris Robinson's team (46-8) will open play in the tournament Tuesday at 3 p.m. vs. No. 11 seed and 19th-ranked Potomac State (West Virginia), who is 43-3 on the year.

It'll be Jones' 21st game against a ranked opponent this season. 

A win in that game would send the Bobcats to a 3 p.m. Wednesday game vs. the winner of No. 3 seed South Mountain (Arizona) and No. 14 seed Jackson (Michigan). South Mountain is 52-8 and eliminated 2022 champion Phoenix in the Region 1 Tournament.
 
The Bobcats are the Gulf District B representative after finishing second to Copiah-Lincoln in the Region 23 Tournament. Co-Lin (43-9) is the No. 5 seed and faces No. 12 seed Lansing (Michigan) at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Lansing is 34-18.
 
The top seed in the World Series is Murray State College (Oklahoma), who boasts a 56-0 record.
 
The tournament will be live streamed on the NJCAA Network which has several pay-per-view options. Those include a one-day pass for $10, an entire tournament pass for $25, a championship day pass for $5 or an All-Access pass which grants access to all 2022-23 NJCAA championship events for $100. Broadcasts will be available at NJCAA.org/network.
 
Cost for fans attending the games will be $15 per person, per tournament pass, per day or an entire tournament pass may be purchased for $50. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at NJCAASPARTANBURG2023.eventbrite.com.

This will be Jones' eighth trip to the World Series in the last 11 seasons. The Bobcats won the national championship in 2018 and have finished runner-up four times.
