RAYMOND – Top-ranked Jones College swept a doubleheader from Hinds Community College here Tuesday afternoon at Renee T. Warren Field.
Jones took the opener 7-3 and followed that up with a 13-2 win in the nightcap.
The Lady Bobcats, 27-4 overall and 13-1 in the MACJC, go to Baton Rouge Community College (Louisiana) for a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday and host Mississippi Delta in a 3 p.m. Friday twinbill.
Hinds, 9-20 overall and 2-11 in the league, goes to Coahoma on Friday.

A four-run, second inning was the difference in game one.
Hallie Donald (Mooreville) had an RBI single,
Raylen Blackwell (St. Patrick) drove in a run with a fielder's choice and
Mollie Singleterry (Wayne County) had a two-run single to cap the inning.
Kayla Collins (East Central) and
Faith Denton (Northwest Rankin) each had two singles for Jones with
Raven Blackwell (St. Patrick), Donald,
Raylen Blackwell and Singleterry adding singles. Denton and Singleterry each had two RBIs.
Donald went the first 3.0 innings and got the win, improving to 14-1. She allowed three runs, five hits, walked two and struck out one.
Marley Peagler (Brandon) went the final four innings and got the save, giving up no runs, two hits, no walks and striking out one.
Sarah Kate Smith singled twice for Hinds.
Cassidy Rhea pitched the first six innings and took the loss.
Jones led 4-1 after two innings, 4-2 after three, 4-3 after four, 5-3 after five and scored twice in the seventh.

Donald belted a pinch-hit, grand slam in the fifth inning to spark Jones in game two.
McKennah Sikes (Van Buren, Arkansas) had a home run, single, three RBIS, drew three walks and scored three runs.
Raylen Blackwell doubled and singled and
LP Trammell (Germantown) singled twice.
Raven Blackwell,
Rebekah DiLavore (Ocala, Florida) and
Gracie McCleskey (Caledonia) each doubled with Collins and
Hailey Weems (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) adding singles. Collins had two RBIs.
Lauren Stringer (Taylorsville) got the win. She pitched six innings, allowing two runs, five hits, one walk and recording nine strikeouts. Stringer is 8-1 on the season. Sikes pitched the seventh and gave up a walk.
Hanna Wilkerson doubled and singled twice for Hinds.
Sydney Davis, the first of three Hinds' pitchers, went 4.2 innings and got the loss.
Jones led 1-0 after one, 3-0 after three, 3-1 after four, 7-1 after five, 7-2 after six and scored six runs in the seventh.
