CLARKSDALE – Top-ranked Jones College did not allow a run in posting a sweep over Coahoma Community College here Friday afternoon at the Eddie C. Smith Complex.
Jones posted a 13-0 win in game one, followed by a 12-0 victory in game two.
Jones, 23-4 overall and 9-1 in the MACJC, hosts No. 10 Copiah-Lincoln in a 4 p.m. Wednesday doubleheader.
Coahoma, 0-18 and 0-10, hosts Dyersburg St. (Tennessee) on Tuesday.

Hallie Donald (Mooreville),
McKennah Sikes (Van Buren, Arkansas) and
Kaeleigh Crutchfield (Clinton Christian) combined on the shutout.
Donald went the first two innings, giving up one hit and getting four strikeouts. She got the win and is now 13-1 on the season. Sikes pitched two innings, allowed one hit and had three strikeouts. Crutchfield pitched an inning, allowed no hits and had a strikeout.
Donald had two singles and a pair of RBIs with Sikes getting a double and three RBIs.

Raylen Blackwell (St. Patrick),
Gracie McCleskey (Caledonia),
Chasity Jordan (Perry Central) and
Carlee Nations (Enterprise-Lincoln) each had singles.
Whatley and Moore singled for Coahoma.
Whatley went the first 2.2 innings and got the loss. Sistruck pitched the final 2.1 innings for CCC.
Jones led 4-0 after one inning, 5-0 after two, 10-0 after three and 13-0 after four.

Lauren Stringer (Taylorsville) and Sikes combined on the shutout in game two.
Stringer went the first four innings and got the win, improving to 7-1. She allowed just one hit, no walks and struck out seven. Sikes pitched an inning, allowed no hits and had two strikeouts.
Raven Blackwell (St. Patrick) had two doubles, a single and four RBIs.
Kayla Collins (East Central) had a triple, two singles and two RBIs. Trammell singled and drove in two runs with Sikes, Weems and Donald adding singles.
Faith Harrington had a single for Coahoma's only hit.
Mekayla Hubbard went the first 4.2 innings and got the loss. Whatley got the final out.
Jones led 2-0 after one inning, 4-0 after two and 5-0 after three. The Lady Bobcats scored seven runs in the fifth to clinch the game.
