MCCOMB – The No. 18 Jones College blanked Southwest Mississippi 9-0 here Wednesday afternoon at Fernwood Country Club.
The Lady Bobcats did not lose a set in singles play.
Mireia Jordan (Spain) beat Alli Smith in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Ariadna Jordan downed Kim San in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Danielle Viljoen (Jackson) defeated Megan White in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and
Kaitlyn Craig (Petal) beat Sarah Robinson in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Dixie Lei Hodges (Laurel Christian School) and
Judith Mills (Pontotoc) won No.'s 5 and 6 singles, respectively, by default.
Craig and Hodges beat Smith and San in No. 1 doubles, 8-1, and Viljoen and Mills defeated White and Robinson in No. 2 doubles, 8-2.
Carley Cochran (Wayne County) and Sarah Der-Ballout (MSMS) won No. 3 doubles by default.
The Lady Bobcats, 13-1, host Meridian at 2 p.m. Friday.
Southwest, 0-8-1, entertains Itawamba Friday.
