Top-rated Lady Bobcats crush East Central twice

ECATUR – Top-ranked Jones College had two impressive wins here Wednesday at Warrior Field.
In game one, LP Trammell (Germantown) homered twice, doubled and drove in six runs to lead the Lady Bobcats to a 16-2, six-inning victory. In game two, Jones scored 15 runs in its final two at-bats and won 18-2 in five innings.
Jones, 18-3 overall and 4-0 in the MACJC, hosts Northwest for a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
East Central, 9-7 and 2-2, goes to East Mississippi on Friday.

Trammell led off the game with a home run and Jones rolled from there. She now has 28 RBIs, which leads the team.
Gracie McCleskey (Caledonia) had a triple and two singles with Rebekah DiLavore (Ocala, Florida) adding two singles. McKennah Sikes (Van Buren, Arkansas) hit her team-leading eighth home run of the season. Raven Blackwell (St. Patrick), Haley Hanson (Jackson Prep), Faith Denton (Northwest Rankin), Raylen Blackwell (St. Patrick) and Mollie Singleterry (Wayne County) added singles. Raven Blackwell, Sikes, Raylen Blackwell and Singleterry each had two RBIs.
Lauren Stringer (Taylorsville) got the win. She went six innings, allowed two runs (one earned), two hits, walked one and struck out 11 as she upped her record to 5-1.
Kaylee Webb and Olivia Houston singled for ECCC. Jasalynn Jarrett was the starting pitcher, went 3.1 innings and got the loss. 
ECCC led 2-1 after one and Jones led 3-2 after two. It was 8-2 after four, 9-2 after five and Jones scored seven runs in the sixth.

The game was tied 1-1 after two and Jones led 3-2 after three. But the Lady Bobcats put it away with seven runs in the fourth and eight in the fifth.
DiLavore had three doubles and four RBIs for Jones. Hallie Donald (Mooreville) homered and singled with Hailey Weems (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and Raven Blackwell each getting a home run. McCleskey doubled and singled with Trammell, Hanson and Raylen Blackwell getting doubles. Jana Nations (Enterprise-Lincoln), Sikes and Kayla Collins (East Central) had singles to round out the 15-hit attack.
Raven Blackwell, Donald, Weems, Hanson and McCleskey each had two RBIs.
Donald got the win and improved to 10-0, which ranks fourth in the nation. She pitched five innings, allowed two runs, six hits, walked one and struck out five.
Hannah Dufault to account for both of ECCC's runs. Emilysue Parkman doubled and singled and Kailee Swindle had a double. Makenzie Barnett and Annika Jones had singles.
Braelyn Boykin went the distance and got the loss.
