GOODMAN – The No. 18 Jones College Lady Bobcats defeated Holmes 9-0 here on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Bobcats improved to 9-1 with the win.
In No. 1 doubles,
Mireia Jordan (Spain) and
Ariadna Jordan (Spain) beat Alexis Kahmann and Khin Lwin, 8-0.
Judith Mills (Pontotoc) and
Danielle Viljoen (Jackson) beat Mackenzie Hunt and Kayla Douglas 8-0 in No. 2 doubles.
Carley Cochran (Wayne County) and Sarah Der-Ballout (MSMS) won No. 3 doubles by default.
Mireia Jordan beat Kahmann in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and
Ariadna Jordan beat Lwin In No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Viljoen defeated Douglas in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and
Dixie Lei Hodges (Laurel Christian School) downed Hunt in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Mills beat Shelly Duncan in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-2 and Der-Ballout won No. 6 singles by default.
Jones will host Southwest Mississippi at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. On Saturday, Jones entertains Copiah-Lincoln at 10:30 a.m. and Wallace St. (Alabama) at 2:30 p.m.
Holmes hosts Meridian on Tuesday.
