ELLISVILLE – The No. 1 rated Jones College Lady Bobcats returned to action in impressive fashion here Sunday afternoon at Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field.
In game two,
Kayla Collins (East Central) homered twice and drove in five runs as Jones defeated Baton Rouge Community College (Louisiana), 10-2 in five innings. In the opener,
McKennah Sikes (Van Buren, Arkansas) belted a three-run home run and
Hallie Donald (Mooreville) won again as Jones posted a 10-2, five-inning decision.
Jones, 16-3, resumes MACJC play with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday at East Central.
BRCC, 4-20, hosts Blinn College (Texas) on March 24.

With the game tied 1-1, Jones took control with a six-run second inning.
Raven Blackwell (St. Patrick) singled and
Raylen Blackwell (St. Patrick) walked with one out. With two outs,
LP Trammell (Germantown) singled the Blackwell sisters home to make it 3-1.
After a
Rebekah DiLavore (Ocala, Florida) single, Sikes followed with her sixth home run of the season to put Jones ahead, 6-1. Collins would follow with a double and later scored on an error.
Raven Blackwell walked to start the third and was replaced by courtesy runner
Gracie McCleskey (Caledonia). McCleskey went to second on a wild pitch and would score on a fielder's choice by
Mollie Singleterry (Wayne County). Trammell's sacrifice fly would score Singleterry.
In the fourth, Collins and
Faith Denton (Northwest Rankin) singled and Donald's single would score a run.
Sikes homered with Collins getting a double and a single. Trammell, DiLavore, Denton, Donald and
Raven Blackwell added singles.
Donald pitched five innings, allowed two runs and nine hits as she improved to 9-0.
Savanna Orgeron hit two solo home runs and singled for the Lady Bears.
Starter Lacey Bonvillain went 1.2 innings, allowed seven runs (five earned), five hits and walked one.
The game was tied 1-1 after one. Jones led 7-1 after two, 9-1 after three and 10-1 after four.

Collins was the story in game two.
After Blayne Pence hit a solo home run in the top of the first inning, Jones quickly answered in the bottom of the first.
Tramell led off with a walk,
Raven Blackwell singled and Sikes walked to load the bases. Trammell would score on a wild pitch and Collins followed with a three-run home run to center to make it 4-1.
In the bottom of the second, McCleskey walked and Trammell launched a two-run homer to put Jones up 6-1.
Raylen Blackwell then walked, took second on a wild pitch and advanced to third on a ground out. She would score when Collins reached on an error.
Jones made it 8-1 in the third when DiLavore doubled and McCleskey doubled her home.
Sikes led off the fourth with a single and scored when Collins launched her second home run of the game over the leftfield fence.
Payge Hebert homered in the fifth for BRCC to end the scoring.
Starter
Lauren Stringer (Taylorsville) got the win. She went four innings, allowed one run, three hits, walked none and struck out three as she improved to 4-1. Kaleigh Crutchfield (Conway, Arkansas) tossed an inning, allowing a run on a hit.
Bailey Duhon went 1.1 innings and got the loss. She allowed six runs on three hits and walked three.
