FULTON – The Jones College Bobcats scored twice in the final 25 minutes to defeat Itawamba Community College 2-1 here Wednesday afternoon.
ICC took a quick 1-0 lead when Brendan Koehn scored at 2:08.
It remained that way until the second half when Jones got the equalizer on an unassisted goal by
Glenn Waters (Dungarvan, Ireland) at 65:51.
The decisive goal came at 83:14 when
Justis Casey (Greene County) scored with
Adam Stone (Oak Grove) getting the assist.
Callum Harley (Whitley Bay, England) was in goal for the entire match for Jones.
The Bobcats, 5-1 overall, resume MACJC South Division play on Tuesday at Southwest.
Itawamba, the North Division leader, is now 6-3. The Indians go to Meridian on Saturday.
