ELLISVILLE – The No. 15 Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats whipped Hinds 8-1 here Tuesday afternoon at the Howard Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
The Lady Bobcats are now 13-3 on the season.
JCJC won all three of the doubles points.
Mireia Jordan (Spain) and
Ariadna Jordan (Spain) beat Stefy Varon Diaz and Paula Gutierriez in No. 1 doubles, 8-1.
Beth Owen (Stone) and
Kaylee McLaurin (Laurel Christian School) downed Anna Hayden Taylor and Madison Curtis in No. 2 doubles, 8-2.
August Parker (Northeast Jones) and
Kaitlyn Craig (Petal) edged Jordan Warren and Brooke Myers in No. 3 doubles, 9-7.
Mireia Jordan beat Varon Diaz in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Ariadna Jordan whipped Gutierriez in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Owen defeated Warren in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-2. Parker defeated Olivia White in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Craig downed Taylor in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1). In No. 4 singles, Curtis defeated McLaurin, 7-5 (7-4), 6-0.
The Bobcats go to Meridian for a 2 p.m. match on Thursday and will host Holmes in the final regular season match for "Sophomore Day" at 1 p.m. on Friday.
Hinds ends the regular season at 2-12.
