                     MERIDIAN – 
Hallie Donald (Mooreville) went the distance and allowed no earned runs to lead No. 6 Jones County to a 9-4 win over Meridian Community College here Tuesday afternoon in game one of a doubleheader.
Donald allowed six hits, walked none and struck out seven as she improved to 10-0.
Kelsha Loftin (Mendenhall) had two singles for JCJC, while 
Emily Robinson (Lafayette) doubled. 
Taylor Murray (Parklane Academy), 
Callie Venable (Clinton, Louisiana), 
McKennah Sikes (Van Buren, Arkansas), 
Gracie McCleskey (Caledonia), 
Sarah Brock (North Pike) and 
Meg Martin (Leake Academy) added singles. Murray had two RBIs.
Miracle Crosby and Jayla Poindexter both doubled for Meridian. Reagan Autmon, Tiana Boutte, Brianna Robbins and Taylor Perilloux added singles.
Kayla Delapaz went 4.1 innings, allowed eight runs (four earned), seven hits, walked two and struck out two for MCC. Boutte pitched 2.2 innings, allowed an unearned run, two hits, walked two and struck out one.
The Lady Eagles led 2-1 after one inning. JCJC led 4-2 after three, 6-2 after four, 8-2 after five and 8-3 after six.
JCJC is now 34-3 overall, 21-2 in the MACJC.
Meridian is 9-21 and 5-16..
