CLARKSDALE – No. 2 Jones County Junior College ended regular season play here Monday afternoon with an 18-0 win over Coahoma Community Colege in game two of a doubleheader.
JCJC won the opener, 23-0.
The Lady Bobcats are now 42-2 and end MACJC play at 26-2.
They will host a best-of-3 playoff series April 28-29 against the No. 8 team in conference play, which is still to be determined. Game 1 is tentatively set for 6 p.m. Friday with Game 2 tentatively set for 1 p.m. Saturday. Game 3, if necessary, would follow 30 minutes after Game 2.
If the Bobcats win the playoff series, then they would host the MACJC Tournament May 5-7.
Taylor Murray (Parklane Academy) doubled and drove in three runs to give her 10 RBIs in the doubleheader.
Brittany Baty (Northeast Lauderdale) hit her second home run of the day, singled and had three RBIs to give her eight runs driven in on the day. Cori McCrary (Carroll Academy) and
Emily Robinson (Lafayette) each had two singles with
Kelly Byrd (Copiah Academy) and Jessie Bumpous (Southaven) adding doubles.

Sarah Brock (North Pike),
Bailey Gilbert (Sylva-Bay Academy), Callie Venable (Clinton, Louisiana) and Brittany Hagwood (Enterprise) added singles.
Madison Burge (Harrison Central) pitched the first four innings and got the win. She allowed three hits and struck out nine. She is now 10-0.
Haylee Morse (Madison Central) pitched the final inning and got a strikeout.
Breianna Trevino had two singles for the Tigers and Kambresha Griffin added one single.
Trevino pitched the first two innings and got the loss. Gabrielle Crain pitched the final three innings.
JCJC led 5-0 after one inning, 11-0 after two, 14-0 after three and 18-0 after four.
Coahoma ends the season at 5-34.
