Lady Bobcat tennis team defeats East Central, 7-2

DECATUR – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats ended the regular season with a 7-2 victory over East Central Community College here Wedneday afternoon at the ECCC Tennis Complex.
The Lady Bobcats end the year at 9-5, while the Lady Warriors are 7-11.
Both teams will now compete in the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament April 19-22 at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Tennis Complex in Perkinston.
JCJC swept the doubles' points.
In No. 1 doubles, Beth Owen (Stone) and Anastasiia Bukhanova (Russia) whipped Tatiana Quinonez and Julia Johnston, 8-2. Anna Mills (South Pontotoc) and August Parker (Northeast Jones) defeated Chaney Mills and Andi McCrimon in No. 2 doubles, 8-6. April Rudolph (Northeast Jones) and Brooke Cran (Wayne County) beat Samantha McCrimon and Hannah Payne in No. 3 doubles, 8-4.
Owen beat Quinonez in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Bukhanova whipped Chaney Mills in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Rudolph outlasted Johnson in No. 3 singles, 7-5, 2-6, 10-3. Parker defeated Emily Dykeman in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-3.
Andi McCrimon beat Cran in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0. In No. 5 singles, An Duong downed Mattie Mills, 7-6 (7), 4-6, 10-4.
