GOODMAN – The No. 1 Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats blanked Holmes Community College 11-0 in five innings in game two of a doubleheader here Tuesday afternoon.
JCJC won game one, 15-0.
The Lady Bobcats are now 37-1 overall and lead the MACJC at 21-1. Itawamba and Mississippi Gulf Coast are tied for second at 18-4 with six regular season games remaining.
Holmes drops to 10-26 overall and 6-16 in the league.
The Lady Bobcats travel to Itawamba for a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday.

A seven-run, fourth inning was the big inning in game two.
JCJC led 1-0 after one, 2-0 after three and 9-0 after four.
Kelly Byrd (Copiah Academy) hit her 14
th home run of the season, doubled, singled and drove in four runs. She now has 64 RBIs, which leads the nation.
Cori McCrary (Carroll Academy) had three singles and two RBIs.
Brittany Baty (Northeast Lauderdale), Sarah Brock (North Pike) and Kelsha Loftin (Mendenhall) had doubles with Loftin driving in three runs.
Natalie Hogue (Harrison Central),
Callie Venable (Clinton, Louisiana) and
Taylor Murray (Parklane Academy) each had singles.
Haylee Morse (Madison Central) pitched first three innings and got the win. She allowed no runs, three hits and struck out three as she improved to 7-1.
Madison Burge (Harrison Central) pitched the final two innings, allowed no runs, no hits, walked one and struck out four.
Madison Frazier went the first 3 1/3 innings and took the loss. She allowed nine runs (all earned), 10 hits and walked one. Juliet Warriner went 1 2/3 innings, gave up two runs, two hits and walked one.
Micah Redd, Torey Daniels and Farmer singled for Holmes.
