WESSON – Top-ranked Jones County Junior College cruised to a 16-0, five-inning victory over Copiah-Lincoln here Wednesday afternoon in game two of a doubleheader.
JCJC won the opener, 7-4.
The Lady Bobcats are now 26-0 overall and are the only unbeaten team in MACJC play at 10-0.
JCJC hosts Northeast at 4 p.m. on Friday at Community Bank Park. The games were originally scheduled for Saturday, but were moved up a day because of potential weather issues. The games will air on

Brittany Baty (Northeast Lauderdale) hit a grand slam and drove in five runs to spark the Lady Bobcats.
Jones took a 2-0 lead in the first when
Cori McCrary (Carroll Academy) and Kelsha Loftin (Mendenhall) singled and
Kelly Byrd (Copiah Academy) followed with a two-run single.
In the second,
Taylor Murray (Parklane Academy) singled and Brittany Hagwood (Enterprise) walked. Loftin's single scored Murray and
Autumn Frost's (East Webster) single scored Hagwood and Loftin to make it 5-0.
Jones added a run in the third when
Bailey Gilbert (Sylva-Bay Academy) walked, Murray doubled and Gilbert scored on a wild pitch.
The Lady Bobcats took an 11-0 lead in the fourth.
Byrd singled, Frost walked and Baty followed with an RBI single.
Emily Robinson's (Lafayette) single scored pinchrunner
Jessie Bumpous (Southaven). Baty would score on an error.
Murray then hit a two-run home run to left.
JCJC added five runs in the fifth.
Bumpous and Lofton drew walks and Bumpous scored when
Callie Venable (Clinton, Louisiana) reached on an error.
Frost drew a walk to load the bases and Baty followed with her ninth home run of the season.
Karli Perque (Westwego, Louisiana) pitched the first three innings and got the win. She allowed no runs, three hits, walked none and struck out five. She is now 8-0 on the year.
Haylee Morse (Madison Central) pitched the final two innings, gave up no runs, no hits, walked none and struck out one.
Murray homered, doubled and singled, while Baty homered, singled and drove in five runs. Loftin and Byrd each had two singles with McCrary, Frost and Robinson adding singles.
VanLandingham, Diana Hobgood and Alex Anthony had singles for Co-Lin.
Christian Black went the first four innings and took the loss.
Co-Lin drops to 7-15 overall and 2-8 in the league. The Lady Wolves host Northwest on Saturday.
