MERIDIAN – The No. 8 Jones County Junior College Bobcats closed the regular season with an 86-68 victory over Meridian Community College here Thursday night at Graham Gymnasium. It was JCJC's 10th straight victory.
JCJC ends regular season play at 22-1 overall and 13-1 in the division.
The Bobcats will now host the MACJC Tournament Feb. 27-March at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
JCJC at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday vs. Northwest. An official tournament bracket will be released Friday afternoon. All games involving JCJC teams will air on

At Meridian, JCJC jumped to a 10-0 lead and led 21-1 midway through the first half. They were up 40-17 with just over four minutes left in the half and led 47-23 at halftime. The Bobcats were up 80-53 with around five minutes to play.
Bruce Stevens (Bay Springs) led the Bobcats with 17 points and 16 rebounds.
Leito Holloway (Charlotte, North Carolina) added 13 points and
Tristin Walley (Hattiesburg) had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Maurice Dunlap (Amanda Elzy) had 9 points,
Enrique Milton (Jackson Provine) had 8,
Rickey Holden (Laurel) had 7,
Andre Tieu (Jackson Provine) had 6 and
Allen Rouse (Jackson Provine) and
Falou Joof had 2 each.
Holden had 6 assists and 4 steals, while Holloway had 3 steals.
The Eagles end the year at 3-18 overall and 1-13 in division play.
