Box Score ELLISVILLE – Top-ranked Jones County Junior College completed a sweep of Mineral Area College (Missouri) with a 10-3 victory in game two here Saturday at Community Bank Park.
JCJC took game one, 6-4.

Starting pitcher
Logan Robbins (George County) had eight strikeouts through five innings and reliever
Kyle Shepherd (Collegiate Christian Academy) recorded four more in the final two innings for the Bobcats.
Robbins, 2-0, gave up three runs, six hits and walked none. Shepherd gave up no runs, one hit and walked one.
The Bobcats took a 3-0 lead in the second inning.
Grant Schulz (Mereaux, Louisiana) led off with a single and scored on a double by Jacob Hiatt (Petal). Luther Woullard (D'Iberville) reached on a fielder's choice and Tristan Labove (Petal) drilled another RBI double.
Tate Pepper's (Ocean Springs) groundout would score Labove.
The Cardinals tied it in the fourth when Chase Urhahn doubled and Conner Forsythe drilled a two-run home run to left. Trynt Tompkins doubled and scored on Jeremy Rivera's single.
The Bobcats then sent 10 batters to the plate and scored six runs in the fifth inning.
Shelton Wallace (Northwest Rankin) led off with a walk, Tanner Huddleston (George County) was hit by a pitch and
Jonathan Parker (New Orleans, Louisiana) followed with a sacrifice.
Caleb Ledet (Houma, Louisiana) then doubled to left score both runners and make it 5-3.
After a strikeout, Woullard had an RBI single. Labove drew a walk and Pepper drilled a two-run double to right-center.
Fred Franklin (West Lauderdale) reached on an infield single. The ball was thrown away on the play and
Jacob Vick (East Central) – the courtesy runner – scored.
Huddleston punctuated the contest with a long solo home run to left in the sixth inning.
Franklin singled twice for Jones, while Huddleston homered. Labove, Hiatt, Pepper and Ledet had doubles with Schulz and Woullard getting singles.
Tompkins doubled and singled and Lewis singled twice for MAC. Forsythe homered, Urhahn doubled and Rivera singled.
Jacob Clark started, went two innings, allowed three runs, four hits and struck out one. Crawford pitched 2 2/3 innings and took the loss. He gave up three runs, one hit, walked two and struck out three. Jose Peguero pitched to three batters and did not record an out. He allowed three runs, two hits and a walk.
Stephen Carter pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowed one run, two hits and walked one. Andrew Anderson pitched the 2/3 of an inning and recorded a strikeout.
Mineral Area, 3-6, will play Coastal Alabama-Bay Minette in Pensacola, Florida, on Feb. 25.
