FULTON – Itawamba snapped Jones County's four-game winning streak with a 3-0 decision here Wednesday afternoon at the ICC Soccer Complex.
The Bobcats are now 4-4 overall, while ICC is 6-5.
Itawamba outshot the Bobcats 20-5 and had 17 shots on goal in posting the victory.
ICC took a 1-0 lead at 29:10 when Christian Rojas scored with Boston Hampton getting the assist.
The Indians made it 2-0 at 47:53 when Cameron O'Daniel scored on a penalty kick. ICC ended the scoring at 64:58 when Logan Little scored off an assist by John Gonzalez.
Darren Ross (Belfast, Northern Ireland) was in goal for JCJC and had 13 saves.
Thomas Blake was goal in for ICC, had two saves and got the shutout.
JCJC hosts East Central at 7 p.m. Friday at Bobcat Soccer Field.
ICC will entertain Oxford University of Emory (Georgia) on Saturday.
