PERKINSTON – Jones County Junior College blanked Andrew College (Georgia) 2-0 here Saturday night at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
It was the fourth straight win for the Bobcats.
JCJC got two first half goals from
Joseph Todd (Belfast, Northern Ireland).
Todd scored at 2:40 on an assist by
Kieran Robins (Norwich, England). Todd then had an unassisted goal at 23:26.
Darren Ross (Belfast, Northern Ireland) was in goal for Jones and got the shutout. He was credited with eight saves. Nilson Miranda was in goal for the Fighting Tigers and had four saves.
The Bobcats had 12 shots and six shots on goal, while the Fighting Tigers had 18 shots and eight shots on goal.
Andrew College had two corner kicks and JCJC had one. Each time was called for nine fouls.
The Bobcats, 4-3, travel to Itawamba for a 4 p.m. match on Wednesday and will host East Central at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Andrew College, 1-7, plays at MGCCC on Sunday and will host Concordia College (Alabama) on Oct. 1.
