ITTA BENA – The 5
th-rated Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats completed a sweep of Mississippi Delta with a 20-0 decision here Friday afternoon at the Mississippi Valley State University Softball Complex.
JCJC took the opener, 17-1.
Brittany Hagwood had a big game offensively with a triple, two singles and four RBIs.
Kelly Byrd doubled twice and drove in three runs.
Skyler McLain added a double with

Juliana Rouse,
Brittany Baty,
Shelby Nelson,
Natalie Hogue and
Autumn Frost adding singles.
Lauren Welch, 2-0, was the winning pitcher. She went four innings, allowed no runs, one hit, walked none and struck out three.
Jasmine Hill pitched the final inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.
Jada McIntosh and Gabby Chapman singled for MDCC.
Jamie O'Cain pitched 1/3 of an inning and took the loss. She allowed four runs (none earned), three hits and walked three. Mercedes Johnson went 3 1/3 innings, allowed nine runs (three earned), five hits and walked four. Catrina Hall pitched 1 1/3 innings, allowed seven earned runs, four hits, walked two and struck out one.
JCJC is now 26-5 overall and leads the MACJC with a 15-1 record. The Lady Trojans are now 3-25 and 0-14.
The Lady Bobcats travel to Pearl River for a 4 p.m. doubleheader on March 30.
MDCC goes to Itawamba on March 30.
