ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College held a narrow, 3-2 lead over Meridian with just over five minutes to play here Friday night at Bobcat Soccer field.
The Lady Bobcats then exploded for three goals in about 2 ½ minutes to beat the Lady Eagles, 6-2, in an MACJC South Division match.

Holly Pike was in goal for JCJC and had two saves.
The Lady Bobcats took 15 shots, while Meridian had four.
Stubbington's first goal came at just 1:33 off an assist by Griffin to give JCJC a quick 1-0 lead. It stayed that way until halftime.
Meridian tied it at 1-1 at 48:13 when Abbey Pate scored.
Rowell's goal at 51:30 off an assist by Sullivan put JCJC up 2-1 and Stubbington's second goal off Sullivan's assist at 55:50 gave Jones a 3-1 lead.
Kedrianna Cole then scored for the Lady Eagles at 68:17 to make it 3-2.
The Lady Bobcats then had their flurry of goals with Rowell scoring at 84:45 off a McKinnon assist, Stubbington at 85:40 off a McKinnon assist and Tabor at 87:30 via a Stubbington assist.
Chanler Pickering was in goal for the Lady Eagles and was credited with six saves.
JCJC, 2-0 overall and 1-0 in league play, travels to Southwest Mississippi for a 2 p.m. match on Tuesday.
Meridian, 1-2-1, goes to Pearl River on Tuesday.
