ELLISVILLE – Three Jones College women's soccer players made it official on Wednesday, April 22 where they'll be playing this fall and a fourth signed in December.

NJCAA First Team All-American and United Soccer Coaches Division II Player of the Year Sherline King signed with Oklahoma State and joined the program this winter.

Mary Grace Batson (Lamar University), Hope Welsh (Western Illinois) and Jordan Robinson (Belhaven) gave their pledges at a signing on campus Wednesday. 

King left as one of the most decorated players in program history, setting school records in single-season (29) and career (54) goals.

King was also named the 2025 MACCC Player of the Year, NJCAA All-Region 23, First Team All-MACCC and a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America.

Batson started 33 of 36 career matches with eight goals and six assists. She was Academic All-MACCC and four-time member of the school's academic honor roll.

Welsh started 25 of 28 career matches played and was a force on the backline. She was also NJCAA All-Academic Third Team, Academic All-MACCC and honor roll selection.

Robinson played in 20 matches over her two-year career with a pair of starts and had a goal and two assists. She was an NJCAA All-Academic Third Team selection, Academic All-MACCC and honor roll selection.

Under 18th-year head coach Dolores Deasley, 69 players have continued their careers at the four-year level.

Jones went 14-6-2 overall and advanced to the NJCAA Tournament semifinals last season.
