19th-ranked Lady Bobcats now 13-0 after win over Co-Lin

WESSON – The 19th-rated Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats improved to 13-0 with a 9-0 win over Copiah-Lincoln here Tuesday afternoon.
Jenna Hegwood and Shelby Gilliland beat Madison Warren and Carly Riley 8-4 in No. 1 doubles. Claire Rounsaville and Breanna Waller defeated Allie Dear and Caroleah Brister 8-2 in No. 2 doubles. Krissy Stutts and Tymeka Hunter downed Carlianna Alderman and Brandi McInnis in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Hegwood rallied past Warren in No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6. Gilliland beat Dear in No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-2. Rounsaville defeated McInnis in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-0. Stutts whipped Brister in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Hunter defeated Alderman in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-2 and Caitlyn Taylor beat Riley in No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-1.
Co-Lin is now 2-8 on the season.
JCJC hosts Itawamba at 1 p.m. on Friday and Mississippi Gulf Coast at 2 p.m. on Monday to end the regular season. They will participate in the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament April 16-18 in Tupelo.
Co-Lin ends its regular season at Hinds on Thursday.
