RAYMOND – 
Rachel Hayes tossed a two-hitter to lead No. 3 Jones County Junior College to a 7-1 win over Hinds Community College in game one of a doubleheader here Wednesday afternoon at Rene Warren Field.
Hayes walked two and struck out six as she improved to 7-1.
JCJC took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Seale singled and was replaced by courtesy runner 
Jay Harris. Harris stole second, went to third on a groundout and scored on 
Rebecca Monceaux's single to left.
The Lady Bobcats made it 2-0 in the third when 
Kalyn Watts reached on a bunt single, stole second and scored on Holifield's single.
Hinds cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth. Bree Glenn walked and scored on a single by Alexis Patterson.
JCJC went up 4-1 in the sixth when 
Tori Dew led off with a home run to center. Seale singled and was replaced by Harris. 
Kimberly Nilsson drew a walk and Monceaux followed with an RBI single.
The Lady Bobcats added three runs in the top of the seventh.
Watts reached on a bunt single, was sacrificed to second by Nilsson and scored on a single by Dew. Holifield's double scored pinch runner 
Shelby Nelson and Holifield scored on a single by Seale.
Seale doubled and singled twice for JCJC, while Dew homered and singled and Holifield doubled and singled. Watts and Monceaux each had two singles and 
Hailee Kolwyck singled.
Bridgette Goss went the distance and took the loss for Hinds. She gave up seven runs, 12 hits, walked one and struck out two.
Tory Laird and Patterson singled for the Lady Eagles.
JCJC is now 29-2 overall and 19-2 in the MACJC South Division.
Hinds falls to 13-16 and 7-14.
