ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College women's tennis team upped its record to 11-0 here Monday afternoon at the Howard Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
The Lady Bobcats defeated Meridian Community College, 8-1.
JCJC swept the doubles' points.
Jenna Hegwood and
Shelby Gilliland defeated Paige Gibson and Caroline Terry in No. 1 doubles, 8-4.
Claire Rounsaville and
Breanna Waller beat Jennifer Smith and Alden Hartley in No. 2 doubles, 8-5.
Tymeka Hunter and
Krissy Stutts won No. 3 doubles over Taylor White and Jami Daugherty, 8-2.
Hegwood went three sets to win No. 1 singles over Gibson, 6-4, 2-6, 10-6. Gilliland beat Terry in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Rounsaville rallied to beat Smith in No. 3 singles, 1-6, 6-1, 10-8. Stutts defeated White in No. 4 singles, 7-6 (5), 6-2. Hunter whipped Summer Stockstill in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-1. MCC's Daugherty beat

JCJC's
Haley Middleton won an extra match over Brittany Allen, 9-7.
The Bobcats travel to Holmes for a 2 p.m. match on Wednesday and go to Itawamba for a 1 p.m. match on Friday.
Meridian hosts East Central on Thursday.
