Lady Bobcats defeat Miss. Gulf Coast in tennis

PERKINSTON – The Jones County Junior College women's tennis team remained unbeaten with a 7-2 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast Thursday evening.
The Lady Bobcats are now 9-0 on the season.
JCJC took two of the doubles' points.
Jenna Hegwood and Shelby Gilliland beat Tori Rose and Katie Robinson in No. 1 doubles, 8-5, while Claire Rounsaville and Breanna Waller downed Hannah Wegner and Connie Watson in No. 2 doubles, 8-6. MGCCC's Karah Younger and Lexie Johnson won No. 3 doubles over Krissy Stutts and Tymeka Hunter, 8-6.
Hegwood beat Wegner in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4. Gilliland defeated Rose in No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Rounsaville downed Robinson in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Stutts whipped Johnson in No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-1. Hunter beat Watson in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Caitlin Taylor lost to Younger in No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-0.
