Lady Bobcats now 6-0 after win over East Central

DECATUR – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats are now 6-0 after defeating East Central 7-2 here Wednesday afternoon.
JCJC won two of the doubles' points.
Claire Rounsaville and Breanna Waller beat Hannah Peoples and Mackie Smith in No. 2 doubles, 8-6. Krissy Stutts and Tymeka Hunter defeated Brooke Payne and Kristine Jenkins in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Jenna Hegwood and Shelby Gilliland lost to ECCC's Shannon St. Clair and Kaley Bufkin in No. 1 doubles, 8-1.
Gilliland beat Peoples in No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-2, Rounsaville whipped Smith in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and Stutts blanked Bufkin in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Hunter downed Payne in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1 and Caitlin Taylor edged Jenkins in No. 6 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
Hegwood lost to St. Clair in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
The Lady Bobcats will host Copiah-Lincoln in a 1 p.m. Friday match and visit Hinds on Monday.
East Central hosts Hinds on Thursday.
