ELLISVILLE – The 12
th-ranked Jones County Junior College Bobcats placed five players in double figures en route to an 85-70 victory over Copiah-Lincoln Community College here Thursday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
The win snapped a modest two-game JCJC losing streak.
JCJC never trailed in defeating Co-Lin.
The Bobcats began the game quickly and jumped out to a 25-10 lead at the 13:46 mark when 
Christopher White scored off an assist by 
Marquis Cunningham. Cunningham's basket at 10:25 had JCJC in front at 30-19.
Andrew Riley's basket off a 
Bryce Jones' assist gave the Bobcats a 38-29 lead with 5:03 left in the first half. But Co-Lin pulled within 40-39 with 1:53 showing on a pair of Donovan Rice free throws.
However, 
Otis Harvey hit a 3-pointer from the right corner at 1:36 and 
Zeb Rice made a 3-pointer from the right wing with just four seconds showing to give JCJC a 46-39 halftime lead.
The Wolves got a layup from Donovan Rice with 15:13 left to trim the lead to 54-50, but that would be as close as they would get.
The Bobcats led 64-59 with just less than 11 minutes to play and then began to take control. An 18-footer by Jones put the Bobcats ahead 70-59 with 7:28 to play.
JCJC held Co-Lin without a field goal from the 12:03 mark until 7:07 when Terry Morris scored to make it 70-61.
However, the Bobcats would go on a 9-2 run and take their longest lead of the night at 79-63 with 3:08 left when Harvey hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key extended.
Jones led the Bobcats, 15-2 overall and 8-2 in the division, with 24 points. Harvey and White had 13 each, 
Rodrigus Palmer had 12 and 
Bryce Perry added 10.
Donte Watson had 20 for the Wolves, 5-14 overall and 3-7 in the division. Chris Williams added 12 and Dearius Griffin finished with 10.
JCJC resumes MACJC South Division play on Monday with a 7 p.m. game at Pearl River.
Co-Lin hosts East Central on Monday.
