UTICA – The 17th-ranked Jones County Junior College Bobcats have ended regular season play as MACJC South Division co-champions.
The Bobcats defeated Hinds Community College 90-81 here Thursday night at J.D. Boyd Gymnasium.
JCJC concludes regular season play at 18-3 overall and 11-3 in the division, tied with Pearl River for first place.
The Bobcats will now prepare for the MACJC State Tournament, which will be held Feb. 23-26 at Co-Lin.
If the Bobcats finish first in the tiebreaker, then they would play Mississippi Delta, the North's No. 4 team. If they finish second, then they would play Northeast Mississippi, the North's No. 3 team. Regardless of the tiebreaker, the Bobcats will play on Tuesday. An official tournament bracket will be released on Friday.

Bryce Jones led the Bobcats with 21 points, while
Christopher White had 15,
Zeb Rice had 14 and
Rodrigus Palmer had 13.
The Bobcats led 47-36 at halftime.
Hinds ends the season at 9-14 overall, 4-10 in the division.
