Bryce Jones scored 22 points and had eight assists to lead the 21
st-ranked Jones County Junior College Bobcats to an 89-71victory over Copiah-Lincoln Community College here Monday night at Mullen Gymnasium.
The win lifts the Bobcats to 10-0 overall, 3-0 in the MACJC South Division.
The victory also sets up a showdown with rival Pearl River Community College on Thursday at A.B. Howard Gymnasium. The 19
th-ranked Wildcats are also unbeaten at 12-0 after a 78-61 victory over Hinds on Monday.
The Bobcats shot 57 percent from the field in defeating Co-Lin.
JCJC was 35-of-61 from the floor, including 12-of-30 from 3-point range. The Bobcats were 18-of-29 from the field in the first half for 62 percent. They were 8-of-14 from the foul line.
The Bobcats led wire-to-wire, jumping out to a 9-1 lead three minutes into play. They led 27-15 with eight minutes left in the first half and were up 45-30 at halftime.
The lead stayed in that range for the remainder of the game. The Bobcats were up 67-50 with just less than nine minutes remaining.
Jones's 22 points led the team.
Marquis Cunningham and
Otis Harvey added 13 each, while
Christopher White had 12.
Terry Morris had 18 for Co-Lin, 2-10 and 0-3. Jordan Lumpkins added 13, Chris Williams had 12, Tyler Turner had 11 and Jadarius Haymer had 10.
The Wolves connected on 22-of-56 shots from the field, including 6-of-20 from 3-point range, for 39 percent. They were 23-of-31 from the foul line.
JCJC outrebounded Co-Lin 36-33 and the Bobcats committed 13 turnovers, while the Wolves committed 16.
The Bobcats return home Thursday to face Pearl River in the "Catfight" on the hardwood. The women's game begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 7:30 p.m. and both games will air on

Co-Lin travels to East Central on Thursday.
