SELMA, Ala. – Jones College volleyball picked up a straight-set road victory over Wallace State-Selma Tuesday evening, winning 25-14, 25-7 and 25-13.
The Bobcats improved to 14-5 overall with the victory and controlled the match offensively, finishing with 31 kills and only six attack errors on 60 swings for a .417 hitting percentage. They also recorded 15 service aces and 28 digs.
The Bobcats were especially efficient in the second set, putting down 12 kills without an attack error on 16 attempts to hit .750 in the frame. They hit .381 in the opening set before closing out the sweep with a 25-13 victory in the third.
Keira Hariel (Madison; MRA) helped drive the offense with 18 assists while also delivering a match-high seven service aces. She added a kill on her only attack and two digs.
Selah Sandridge (Madison; MRA) finished with five kills on seven swings without an error, hitting .714, while Myah Favre (Pass Christian; OLA) added five kills on eight attempts for a .625 hitting percentage. Favre also recorded eight assists and six digs.
