JACKSON – Freshman Myah Favre has been named the MACCC Offensive Player of the Week following a strong two-match stretch for the Bobcats.

Favre totaled 23 kills while hitting .390 across matches against Pearl River and Bishop State. She added five service aces and three total blocks during the week.

The Pass Christian native opened the week with nine kills, three aces and a solo block in a four-set match at Pearl River. 

Favre then turned in a dominant performance two days later in Jones' straight-set victory over Bishop State, finishing with a match-high 14 kills without committing an attack error. She converted 14 of her 15 attempts for a .933 hitting percentage  and added two aces and two block assists as the Bobcats improved to 4-2. 

The Bobcats return to action Wednesday, Sept. 9 against Southwest.
