JACKSON – Seven Jones College Bobcats have been named to the All-MACCC softball team.
Madison Sawyer was named the conference pitcher of the year, Jones' first since Karli Perque took home the award in 2017.

Addy Shorter was an honorable mention.
A freshman from Saraland, Ala., Sawyer is 19-2 with a 2.58 ERA and 121 strikeouts. Her 19 wins are second-most in the MACCC.
Eason, a freshman from Lafayette, is hitting .375 with a team-leading 23 home runs, 63 RBIs and 14 doubles. She is second in the MACCC and tied for fifth nationally in home runs.
Price, a freshman from Kosciusko, leads the team with a .411 batting average, 64 RBIs and 72 base hits. She has 17 home runs and 13 doubles/.
Tate, a Wayne County sophomore, is batting .350 with seven home runs, 34 RBIs and seven doubles.
Andersen, a Wayne Academy sophomore, is batting .396 with 65 base hits. She is 48-of-53 in stolen bases and set the school record for most career stolen bases – 86 – during the season. She leads the MACCC in steals and is tied for seventh nationally.
Dampeer, a Puckett sophomore, is batting .273 with a home run and five doubles.
Shorter, a sophomore from Oxford, is batting .341 with five home runs and 27 RBIs.
The Bobcats are currently 46-10 and will be playing in the NJCAA Division II World Series in Spartanburg, S.C., opening with State College of Florida at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
